Earlene Joyce Marshall

Earlene was born to Earl and Evelyn Reed in Los Angeles CA, on February 10th, 1937. She attended and graduated from Hawthorne High School in Redondo Beach CA.

She met Sonny (Harry) Marshall, and they were married on July 30th, 1955, in Long Beach CA. They moved to Grand Junction CO in 1957. Her husband and family meant everything to her, they had five children: Deniese (Brian) Kohles, Anna (John) Lopez, William (Brenda) Marshall, Carrie (Vernon) Shepherdson, and Dennis Marshall. She had 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-great-grandchildren, along with 2 younger sisters, Carol Hild and Shirley Miller, and many nieces and nephews.

Earlene was a Welder/Bit Builder for the Oil/Gas/Water Well Industry for over 40 years. Accompanied by many family members and friends her passions were art of all forms, traveling, fishing, metal detecting, and camping. She attended the Nazarene Church of Palisade, CO, belonged to Palisade Art Lovers, Plateau Valley Coffee Bowling League, and assisted the Food Bank of the Nazarene Church of Palisade, where she became known for her quick drawings, her generosity, kindness, and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Evelyn Reed, and her daughter Anna Lopez. Earlene’s Memorial Services will be held on April 5, 2025, at the Nazarene Church of Palisade, CO, 3595 Front Street at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon that follows.

She was able to be surrounded by her family at home when she passed away, with the help of HopeWest Hospice Care, Nazarene Church of Palisade, and Brown’s Cremation. We humbly thank you…
