Howard Norman Terrell

Howard Norman Terrell was born in Glenwood Springs, Colorado to Norman and Pearl Terrell on December 20, 1948. He was the oldest of six kids and they all grew up in Sturgis, Michigan. Howard married Tamy Leeth and had three children. He loved Colorado and the mountains and moved his family to Grand Junction, Colorado. Although Howard and Tamy later divorced, they stayed near their children and grandchildren in Grand Junction.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Pearl; brother, Clint; sister-in-law, Shelley; brother-in-law, Tim; niece, Tracy; grandson, Hank; and great-granddaughter, Lillyen. He is survived by his heartbroken family. His sons, Heath Terrell and wife Billie, Keith Terrell and wife Marni, and daughter, Michelle Lujan and husband John. His grandchildren; are Heather, Wyatt, Ryan, Kryslyn, Taylor, Joshua, Katherine, Brendan, and Cody; great-grandchildren; Tyson and Peyton. His brother Lee, his wife Dawn, sister Laura, husband Al, sister Kathy, and brother Bruce. His nephews are Jake, Ross, Brian, Dennis, Matt, and Marc. His nieces are Becky, Betsy, Kate, Malissa, and many great nieces and nephews.
Howard passed away on August 20, 2024, after a yearlong battle with cancer. Even though he was an old cowboy who didn’t always show it, he loved his family, and he was very loved. Howard’s ashes will be spread in the mountains that he so loved and where he and his family spent many summers riding horses, fishing, camping, and hunting.
